Fundraiser for Jamaica
Jamaican Fundraising Day – Thursday 27th November
This Thursday, we are hosting a Jamaican Fundraising Day to raise money for hurricane relief efforts in Jamaica. This is an issue close to the hearts of many of our families, and we are excited to come together as a community to make a difference.
What’s Happening?

Dress in Jamaican Colours
Students and staff are invited to wear black, green, and gold – the colors of the Jamaican flag – and donate £2. Card payments will be accepted on the gate. -
Music and Activities Throughout the Day
Jamaican music will play during changeovers, and primary classes will take part in themed challenges. Winners in each year group will receive a token for the book vending machine. -
Sports Tournaments
Year 6 and Secondary students can join football and netball tournaments for £3. Please ensure students bring their kit and payment. -
Boulevard Concert
At 1:15pm, secondary students will enjoy live performances from our talented secondary bands in the atrium during lunch.
After-School Festival (3pm – 5pm)
Join us for a vibrant celebration of Jamaican food and culture!
- Sweet and savory Jamaican dishes
- Drinks station
- Giant inflatable football darts
- Three bouncy castles (including one for adults!)
- Beat the Goalie with Mr Carrasco and other special guests
- Sponge the teachers
- Craft stalls and traditional Jamaican games
Payments can be made by card for tokens or in cash at stalls. Families and friends are warmly encouraged to attend.
Staff Dance – 4pm
Don’t miss the highlight of the day – our Staff Dance in the theatre! Entry is £3 on the door. Come and cheer on your teachers as they take to the stage.
Primary teachers already signed up include: Ms Fletcher, Ms Greta, Ms Mathurin, Ms Dearing, Ms Ali, Mr Siequien, Mr Badmus, Ms Dancel, Ms Bobat, Ms Medley and Ms Hill – with more joining every day!
Secondary teachers include: Ms Leon, Ms Scott, Ms Kramer, Ms Baniuk, Dr Rogers, Ms Nduka, Mr Hall, Ms Vernon, Ms Njuguna, Ms Webb, Ms Daly Johnson, Ms Gomez, Ms Stewart, Ms Henry and Mr Mirza – and the list keeps growing!
This promises to be a fantastic day of fun, music, and community spirit. Thank you for supporting this important cause – together, we can make a real difference.
